- every from selected participant of the exhibition CERAMICA MULTIPLEX should have a chance to introduce him/her self with slides, CD projection or film on DVD in maximum 15 minutes in front of Festival audience. Official language: English – there will be no translator.
April, 20 till April, 25 - Workshop with Maria Geszler Garzuly, the famous Hungarian ceramic artis, with the topic: DIARY - Porcelain and mixed media - the Homage to Japanese artist Takako Araki, died 2007, was very famous through his exceedingly beautiful Bibles and his experiment with print techniques during 60 years. We learn about print techniques on different materials like stoneware, porcelain, metal, paper and textile. We will fill it with our memories, we will make experiments with different fingerprints and impressions in many layers and we will put it than together in a book shape than snap in two and fire in electric kiln or raku kiln to higher temperatures as usually. There will be also a little history about this technique and CD lecture. The participant should bring their own tools, old used-up laces, 100 % cotton bandages, handmade paper snippets, thin metal sheets, rusty and ripped, from the rubbish dump.
May, 4 till May, 9 - Workshop with Bernd Pfannkuche, well known editor of New Ceramics from Germany: We build the pottery kiln inspired by old Roman kiln. The workshop will be held in Varazdinske Toplice near Varazdin. We will learn everything: from row bricks made in moulds to the kiln and terra sigillata.
